With such a lyrical name, I was expecting great things from this reel. I wasn't disappointed in the least. The X 5500 is a great reel for the length casts required for sea fishing. Regardless of your fishing style, I'm positive you'll appreciate many of the thoughtful features and functions designed into the X 5500. One thing I noticed right away is a spool taper that facilitates the high speed line release that's the signature of an effective cast. The travelling line guard prevents tangles.
